With her series DIVERSITY, Bianka Yetgin explores the dynamic tension between sameness and individuality. The works originate from the idea of a shared fundamental element that connects us while allowing for infinite personal expression. Yetgin translates this concept into a visual language of primary colours, which she condenses into ever new, autonomous compositions. Over the course of several weeks, Yetgin applies high-quality pigments, inks and resin in translucent and opaque layers. Each placement of colour requires calm, drying phases and precise craftsmanship: layer by layer the surface is built up, sanded and finally sealed with a refined lacquer. A defining feature of the series is the use of custom-made mirrored acrylic frames. They function not merely as an aesthetic enclosure but as active reflective surfaces that incorporate the viewer’s gaze. Surrounding space, light and the viewer’s own silhouette become part of the work — a subtle reminder that diversity emerges continuously in the interplay between inner experience and external perception. Each piece arises from the same essential elements, yet becomes entirely unique — much like the human blueprint itself. DIVERSITY is a tribute to the beauty of variety: a visual affirmation of what connects us, and of what makes each of us unmistakably individual
